Before launching your product into the Australian market, make sure your packaging is retail-ready and compliant with local regulations.

    • Product name clearly displayed

    • Ingredient list in descending order (food products)

    • Allergen declaration clearly visible

    • Nutrition Information Panel (where required)

    • Country of origin labelling

    • Australian supplier/business name and address

    • Use-by or best-before date displayed correctly

    • GS1-compliant barcode registered

    • Unique barcode for each product variant/SKU

    • Barcode placed on a flat surface

    • Minimum 3–5mm clear space around barcode

    • Barcode is high contrast and scannable

    • Recycling instructions clearly displayed

    • Australasian Recycling Label (ARL) considered

    • Sustainable or recyclable materials used where possible

    • Avoid excessive single-use plastics

    • 10c refund symbol included for eligible beverage containers

    • Fibre/material composition listed

    • Care instructions included

    • Size clearly labelled

    • Country of origin stated

    • Manufacturer or supplier details included

    • Age suitability clearly stated

    • Choking hazard warnings where required

    • Safety instructions visible and legible

    • Compliance with Australian product safety standards

    • Professional print quality and finishes

    • Clear, legible typography

    • Consistent branding across packaging

    • Certifications displayed where relevant (HACCP, ISO, Organic, etc.)

    • FSC-certified or recycled paper stocks

    • Soy or vegetable-based inks

    • Cotton or natural fibre swing tag attachments

    • Compostable or recyclable packaging finishes
